Additionally, the year-to-date (YTD) sales data is specifically for July in each year, spanning from 2018 to 2022.

Let’s delve into some compelling statistics sourced from the California Department of Real Estate (CA DRE) and the California Association of Realtors (CAR) websites. These numbers span the years from July 2018 to June 2022. During this period, the total number of licensees, including both brokers and sales agents, consistently exceeded 400,000. Furthermore, on average, over 150,000 Single Family Residences (SFR) were transacted each year from 2018 to 2022. This might suggest an oversaturation in the field, with approximately 100,000 licensees seemingly inactive. However, this is not the reality, as only a select few actively assist homeowners.
